Rangi & Pras / Part 3

→ PART 1 : INDIA → PART 2 : SRI LANKAPART 3 : AUSTRALIA

Well, I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if this is the largest wedding project I ever undertake. Just in case we forgot, Rangi & Pras had three weddings in three countries – India, Sri Lanka & Australia. It’s hard to believe that this is the final chapter. The ‘Return of the Jedi’.

It couldn’t be more suitable having the final chapter here in Melbourne, Australia. For Rangi & Pras, this is their home so in their eyes this wedding was THE wedding for so many different reasons. This final chapter did not have the exotic cultures and destinations of the previous two, so for me it was important to really bring it back to the essence of what it’s all about – People. Love. Memories. Moments. I definitely get excited about shooting in far away lands (and it’s big part of what I do) but ultimately it’s these things that are at the heart of why I take photos.

For that reason the highlight of the whole experience for me was the special connection that developed with Rangi, Pras, Katie and myself. As the photographer we end up spending more time with the couple than anyone else on the wedding day, so you inevitably get to know each other pretty well. In this case,  it’s no surprise that following this couple around the world resulted in something quite special.

I hope you enjoy viewing this final chapter…

Studio Ninja – Interview

I’ve had the pleasure of using Studio Ninja for a while now to manage the business stuff behind the scenes. It’s been an absolute game changer for me and totally streamlined things in a big way! Anyway, they asked me to do an interview with them. It’s always nice for me to get deep and meaningful and reflect on my time as a wedding photographer. It still blows my mind that I get to do what I love – capturing amazing couples love stories in Melbourne, throughout Australia and all kinds of weird and wonderful places abroad.

Head of over and take a read…
